Weighing just 67 g, the Aerox 3 Wireless is SteelSeries' first ultra-lightweight mouse. Usable either in 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, or wired mode, the Aerox 3 Wireless is said to have up to 200 hours of battery life. Main button switches rated for 80 million clicks and the 18,000 CPI TrueMove Air sensor complete the package.

Looks like a good alternative to the Viper Ultimate and the Logitech G Pro X Superlight. The CPI deviation is a bit of a letdown, but that can always be somewhat compensated through slightly tweaking in-game settings if absolute DPI values (like "strictly" 400) are needed.
@pzogel It looks like Logitech HyperX released a new firmware for the Pulsefire Haste. Will you be re-visiting the mouse with the new update?

Lmao, are you a joke? If you want silly 400 DPI so much, buy a FELICON. Thing goes for a whooping $19 on Amazon and is bigger than this with a better shape. Wireless perforated design for ya, there.
If you want more, then there's the Pwnage Ultra and the Model O wireless. The Pwnage is $150 in custom form, so the Steelseries pretty much competes with the Model O and it probably fails there too, at least to me, because of being small.
Personally I'm fed of seeing TOP RECOMMENDED on crap like this, like the aforementioned user pointed out, $100 for this.
No, I'm not, but since you're actually recommending a FELICON (I'm going to assume you mean the X3), it sounds like you are. I'd also love a good explanation as to why you think 400 DPI is silly.
The Model O Wireless (I have one) is a good mouse, but lacks BT 4.2/5.0 which I need for a laptop. I have not used the Pwnage Ultra yet.

Solely for the fact that you think 400 DPI makes sense.
Have a nice day!

That's the X3. I have tried that mouse before (at ~$20 during Black Friday) and found that the tracking cut out from time to time. It worked fine when when plugged in charging (but still had to have the wireless receiver connected as well). This was obviously not acceptable, so I returned it after 2 days.
You still did not give me any valid explanation as to why you think 400 DPI is silly.

Do you happen to know how recently it has been released? I did try the firmware that was released roughly 3-4 weeks ago, but that one was a non-fix.

That is indeed the one I've tested. It cuts deviation roughly in half, but that's still way off of course, so further adjustment within NGENUITY would be required. However, the firmware only applies to the default CPI steps, which means that as soon as the software is used to adjust them any further, the partial fix reverses entirely. As such, I consider that firmware a non-fix.

The wired version of this one is on sale. If the main buttons feel as good as the xm1r, I want to buy aerox 3 as a backup. What's your opinion about this?

XM1r buttons are better. Quality control isn't as tight on the Aerox 3 either, so if you're unlucky you may experience button wobble/instability.

XM1r buttons are better as well, and MZ1 quality control isn't on the same level either, but better than on the Aerox 3.
