As the name suggests, the Rival 3 Wireless is basically the wireless version of the ambidextrous Rival 3. With a new custom 18,000 CPI sensor, battery life of up to 400 hours, and optional Bluetooth operation, the Rival 3 Wireless brings a lot of innovation to an affordable price point of $49.99.

This is NOT a bad mouse, tbh. (I have one.) However it seems mine is draining the battery a lot faster.
I have not used Engine 3 with it yet (which means I didn't update any firmware, if available), so that could be the reason.

Supposedly, but I'll only know for sure once I've put it to the test.

Great review and very detailed. Not sure I am ready to move onto Wireless though.
I'll stick to wired gaming mouse and keyboards for the time being.

I really like the detailed dimension info and size comparisons you guys commit to with these mouse reviews as I'm more picky about size and shape than anything else. It's been really helpful in deciding if I should give a mouse a closer look or pass entirely. Thank you.

I had the Sensei 310 and replaced it for a G305 and to be honest, I don't know what was the issue with the Sensei 310 but I always felt like there was some kind of filtering going on or acceleration. It was very evident for me when I tried to move the pointer quickly few pixels apart and it was always kind of inaccurate. With the G305 I feel like I have direct control as if my hand is a part of the mouse but not the same at all with the Sensei 310.

I own a rival3 wireless, while the shape and build seems great, for me what really kills it is the sleeping of the mouse, its not as seeming less as Logitech/Razer, it feels a lot like 20 years ago.

I should be able to get a sample, so in all likelihood—yes.

A question that's not completely related the rival 3. You mentioned in the conclusion that the g305 wins in motion latency, but I see you have no review for that mouse. You did mention the g305 has roughly 1 ms motion delay. Did I read this correctly? I have read some other reviews from you that mention that 1 ms motion delay is on par with the best wireless sensors out there. That sounds completely crazy for a mouse that goes for 30$ very often. Is Logitech simply that much ahead of the competition that a 30$ mouse performs so well? Or are there sensor problems under the grass with the g305?

Which in that case you have not changed the power usage settings.
I will stick my my Sensei wireless, if the switches are any thing like the Sensei wireless they should last a good while.

The G305 is incredibly competitive indeed, with wireless motion delay sitting around 1-1.5 ms. No sensor problems aside from the HERO being susceptible to freaking out when hair gets in the way of the lens.

Do you also know anything about the new sensor on the g305? Some reddit users have reported something has changed in the latest batches. Or latest colored batches I'm not sure.
Seems like a free upgrade to 25k hero if true? Worth a new updated 2021 review in that case perhaps?
Edit: seems like I misread it. Should be nothing "new", just an artificially capped sensor I think (don't own the new g305 batch myself). Still wondering whether there is some performance gains in there. But I guess Logitech wouldn't give an upgrade for "free" of course.

Very unlikely that performance changed to any degree, just a different package to save cost during production.
