The Hungry Food Guide to Ubud | Bali Eats for Every Budget - Here With Dia (2024)

Let’s be honest, FOOD is one of our favorite things about traveling. Ubud is a hot spot to not only delicious local cuisines, but also fusion delights and high-end luxury dining. The best thing about it, aside from complex spices and drool-inducing aroma – are the prices. We splurged at a restaurant that would’ve probably cost us around 150USD for two back home for just 50USD! Now that you’re feeling hungry, let’s get right to our guide on where to eat in Ubud.

Babi Guling Ibu Oka $$$$

I asked where should we eat in Ubud? Without missing a beat, our Airbnb host recommended Babi Guling or “suckling pig”. There are actually 3 locations in Ubud. There’s Ibu Oka, Warung Babi Guling Ibu Oka 2 & 3. From the reviews on Google, it seems like the second or third choice might be your best bet. We went and tasted the pig at Ibu Oka, and honestly left a bit disappointed. The reason is, the restaurants seemed to have watered down the spices because it’s not all tourists can handle the original fiery sting. Of course you should still go have a taste, as this dish is local favorite.
