1. Black Forest Pie
I used to be a traditionalist when it came to Black Forest Pie. It started with my friend across the street who had lived in Germany for years before we met (and has since moved there permanently) and would make the most incredible Black Forest cake. I imagined anything else that claimed to be “Black Forest” flavored or inspired would be inferior. Obviously, since making my Black Forest Cake, I have changed my mind about that. Now, I can’t wait to try anything Black Forest. I go out of my way to hunt it down. I cannot get enough. This pie will please all of your Christmas guests.

I needed a quick microwave pie recipe for my Mom and Dad’s anniversary and I found this perfect white chocolate velvet pie on Pinterest. My mom loves Texas White Trash which is basically your Texas Trash recipe with a white bark coating, so I tried it. It was a great success and had minimal preparation time, I highly recommend it.
3. Fluffy French Silk Pie
Recently I was experimenting with a French silk pie recipe and most recipes call for melted chocolate, butter, and sugar, to be vigorously beat with eggs. The eggs beating into the mixture at high speeds creates the elegant silky texture of French Silk Pie However, these pies always turn out slightly too dense for my taste. I decided to veer off the classic recipe and fold some of the whipped cream, I had whipped for the top, into the chocolate filling. Sparks. Confetti. Clashing cymbals. With just one alteration I had a French Silk Pie recipe that might be even better than the pie in my memories. It was the texture I was looking for. Let me tell you, everyone needs to stop what you’re doing and RUN to your kitchen to make this pie. I’m serious, GO! It’s fudgy. It’s indulgent. It’s over-the-top chocolatey. It’s gooey. It’s easy yet from scratch. By looking at the pictures you probably think, “Wow, I bet that’s so rich I couldn’t finish a whole slice!” You’d be wrong if you thought that. Very, very wrong. Try it. Cut a slice and try to just eat a bite of The BEST Brownie Pie. My brownie lovers went crazy over it, their favorite hands down.

I have to admit, I love Key Lime pie. I only get this excited about recipes that I absolutely love. Recipes like this Key Lime Pie. That incredible combination of tart and sweet is absolutely irresistible and will make this pie a family favorite, guaranteed. So, confession time. I didn’t squeeze a bunch of key limes for this pie. This is an easy key lime pie recipe, after all, I used key lime juice. You can find it the produce area in most grocery stores. It makes this pie even easier to make! This will be the hit of any event and will make an impressive offering to any potluck you might be attending this holiday season.
6. Brown Sugar Peach Crumble Pie
My Mom’s peach tree is full again, so I told the kid’s to get to picking! We need peaches for peach ice cream, peach cake, peach preserves and of course peach pie, my personal favorite. I found this delicious crumble recipe on Pinterest, everyone has gone crazy over it. The filling is sturdy with plenty of juicy peach chunks throughout. The crumble keeps its shape, while some of its butter melts down creating an even richer peach pie filling experience. Because eating this homemade peach crumble pie is most certainly an experience to savor this season. Get slightly firm (not hard) with zero bruises and soft spots. I find that organic peaches have the best texture for peach pie, so keep that in mind when you’re shopping if you don’t pick them fresh. Your best bet is to purchase about 9-10 firm peaches, then let them sit in a paper bag for 1-2 days to slightly ripen. They should be good to go at this point. Some may have soft spots after this time, so that is why I suggest buying a couple more than you will actually need. Eat the others! Cut the peaches into chunks, not slices. I feel like thickish slices are fine with a double crust or lattice topped peach pie, but with the buttery crumble on top– this peach crumble pie didn’t look so good. It was all sorts of mushy inside. I went with larger chunks and that seemed to immediately fix the issue. See these pictures? Chunks. Lots of peach chunks, from slightly firm peaches.

This pie is restaurant quality! Scratch that. It’s BETTER than restaurant quality because it’s made from scratch! The crust is my Grandma’s recipe, which couldn’t be easier to make. For the filling, I use these big beautiful frozen berries you see below. They’re the 3 berry pack in the frozen section and the price is unbeatable. They are the biggest, nicest frozen berries I’ve ever seen. This pie is an excellent choice for any Thanksgiving gathering.

I had to bring something to my Thanksgiving potluck feast at the office, so I thought a pumpkin pie would be perfect. After all, who doesn’t love pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving? This recipe is everything you crave in about fall!! It’s the perfect twist to traditional pumpkin pie…hello, apple butter! with a crumbly streusel topping that is packed full of spice and it’s crazy delicious!!

You have got to try this Island Pecan Pie!! For Thanksgiving this year I wanted to try something new in the pie world. I was searching all kinds of pecan pies on Pinterest and saw this pineapple coconut pecan pie that I knew I had to have! Apparently, this is a famous pie in a diner in Arkansas. And after making it, I know why. It is seriously amazing! Every bite of this pie is delightful. It is not as heavy as a traditional pecan pie. It is more creamy, like a cream pie, but with the sweet chunks of pineapple and the crunch of the pecans and coconut. It has so much flavor! You will see in the recipe that I used a homemade whipped topping. I highly recommend doing this! I made a basic whipped topping with heavy cream, sugar, and almond extract. The almond flavor really complements this pie.

My daughter loves banana cream pie and I wanted to make an extra special one for her this Thanksgiving. So to make banana cream pie even better, why not add caramel to the mix! This delicious banana cream pie recipe is seriously delicious! I’ve mentioned before, but cream pies are my favorite and banana cream pie is my favorite of all! When I needed to make a pie this Thanksgiving, I knew that a twist on banana cream pie would be the perfect solution! Adding caramel to the pie takes it to the next level without adding too much difficulty. It turned out so fabulous, my daughter loved it.
