ChapalaWeather
Powered by Jeep

So, the CFE decided to play with
the wires again - but, this time we had a solution

The recent shopping trip to Texas
returned a 200W DC to AC inverter

Which, when
plugged into the accessory socket in the Jeep - - -

- - -
And, an extension cord (yes, we have hundreds of feet)
run up to weather central, handled the station just fine!
This opens a
whole new "thought stream" on the next years plans to move and
upgrade
the entire weather system, but for now, the CFE can go scratch, we
have it covered.
However,
most annoying is that after 4 years of suffering through
low voltage, blackouts, brownouts
and "dirty" power they have just put in new poles and
a new 25KVA transformer at the corner
Thanks CFE, but you're a bit late to the party!
(BTW, I consider it a privilege to pay $.40 per KWH?)
